Hello

My name is Peter Kim. I live in Austin with my cat, Mr. Rogers, though I typically just call him Freddie. He's a dusty orange- colored domestic shorthair who showed up in my back patio one day while I was living Florida, back in 2020.

I used to be a software engineer at chess.com, the world's #1 chess website, although I suck at chess. If you play chess, feel free to friend me here.

Now, however, I'm a substitute teacher for Austin ISD, and a proud member of Education Austin, the union for district workers. I'm planning on becoming a full-time teacher eventually, though at the moment, I'm substituting to try to get an idea of how I'll actually do in the classroom and see which subjects and grades seem to fit better with me. So far, it's almost all been middle- schoolers, which, uh, I can tell you about.
